# Billing & the free trial

> Plans, the trial, the grace period, and managing your subscription.

Billing is managed per workspace under **Settings → Billing**. Only a workspace **owner** can change
the plan or open the billing portal; **admins** see billing read-only.

## Plans

The billing page shows your **current plan** with a status badge, plus the available plans:

* **Free** — the baseline.
* **Starter** and **Pro** — self-serve, billed monthly. Choose one to start checkout.
* **Business** — not self-serve; use **Contact sales** to reach the team.

## The free trial

Paid plans include a **14-day trial**. During the trial your status badge reads **Trialing** and the
trial end date is shown on the current-plan card.

## Failed payments and the grace period

If a renewal payment fails, your workspace enters a **7-day grace period**: your current plan's
features stay available, and the page shows a **Past due (grace period)** badge with the date the
grace ends. After grace ends, the workspace falls back to free-tier limits until payment is updated.

## Manage your subscription

Owners click **Manage billing** to open Stripe's hosted **customer portal**, where payment methods
and invoices live. Enrik never stores or displays your card details.

> **Beta limitations.** Billing is live but plan limits are tighter during the private beta. For
