# Use signals

> See buying and timing signals on your companies.

**Signals** are time-sensitive facts about a company — hiring activity, news, and other indicators
that help you prioritize who to reach out to and when.

## Where signals appear

Open a company under **Companies** and view its detail. Recorded signals are shown on the company so
you can judge timing at a glance.

## How signals get there

Signals come from discovery and enrichment. An enrichment run with **AI signal extraction** lists
the signals it found on the run page, where you review and apply them. You can also add a signal by
hand on the company with **Add signal**.

> Use signals alongside your ICP fit: a strong-fit company **with** a fresh signal is usually your
> best next outreach.

> **Beta limitations.** Signal coverage and the catalog of signal types are expanding during the
> private beta. Not every company will have signals yet.
